Amazing 5 weeks

5 of 5
Our stay was fantastic in every way. Leslie is thoughtful and meticulous, and from the moment we entered, we felt at home. Every convenience is available, including a shopping cart so you don't have to haul your groceries back! We had detailed instructions on how everything operated, so from laundry to trash disposal, everything was very simple. The first thing we noticed was that the apartment was much larger than it seems from the photos. There are wonderful books on art, sights, walks and eateries in New York, which you can browse though as you put your feet up in the comfy reclining chair, or actively study for ideas of new ways to experience New York. The closet is huge, and we could put our massive bags out of sight as we settled in for our 5-week stay. A comfortable bed and couch, many surfaces for work and play, and plentifully stocked with linen, towels, soap, detergents etc., this was our first experience with renting, and has made us fans of the site and of Leslie. She was prompt, courteous and helpful at all times, and was genuinely committed to our having a great time in the apartment and in New York. I will run out of words to praise the apartment and Leslie, and still not say how great it was! The location is ideal - 2 blocks from a subway station for express and local trains, steps away from the noise and hubbub of Broadway, in a calm, peaceful, residential oasis. The river breeze never let us feel the true extent of New York's heat or humidity, and the view was a joy at all times. Thoughtful touches like metro maps, opera guides, and torches added to our comfort. Leslie, I will be back to stay at your apartment in New York (and any other properties you might have anywhere else) again and again and again! I have already recommended this property to a whole bunch of people, and will continue to do so. A heartfelt thanks, Leslie, for a wonderful apartment and an amazing experience.

Clean, roomy, comfortable apt with great location

5 of 5
We can only echo the positive reviews posted above. We stayed at Jody and Gavin's apartment on multiple occasions beginning Jan. 2010 until our kids (and grandkids) moved to NJ earlier this year. Jody and Gavin were extremely accommodating to the point that we felt part of their family. The apartment is exactly as described: roomy, comfortable, very clean, and well-maintained. The location is ideal, less than a block to Central Park and only three blocks to Riverside Park and the Hudson River. There are many top-notich restaurants close by. Whole Foods, as mentioned by other reviewers, is less than a block away. We found street parking on almost all of our visits. (I think I had to use a garage only once, and that was because we came during a heavy snow.) We definitely recommend this apartment to anyone planning an extended visit to the city. We'd come back if our kids were still in Manhattan.
