Great unit with INCREDIBLE location

5 of 5
I recently stayed in this unit for a week with my wife and three teenage daughters. We had a wonderful time, and I would highly recommend renting this unit. The number one plus is the location - INCREDIBLE. It is, as advertised, just steps from Central Park. In fact, it is just around the corner from the park, on a quiet, tree lined one way street heading towards Central Park West, so has very little traffic despite its convenient location. The subway and National History museum are a block away, and it was a ten minute walk across the park to the Met. We spent the entire week exploring the city on the subway with no car or taxi's, and this location made that very doable. Even coming back late at night after shows, etc., felt safe because of the closeness to the subway and Central Park West. The unit itself was modern and VERY clean. There were plenty of plates, utensils, towels, blankets, etc., etc. The queen in the bedroom was very comfortable. The girls slept on the futon, that folded flat and the couch, and were fine on both. They tried the pullout bed in the couch, but found it somewhat uncomfortable -- typical of pullouts -- because of the thin mattress and frame. But there was also an inflatable mattress which they didn't try or need. Because of it's back side location, the unit was very quiet -- we could hear no street noise at all, and the lovely garden in back was vacant most days and nights. My wife and I got up every morning and strolled the neighborhood, finding new, great eating places and lovely tree lined avenues before we headed out for the day's adventure with the girls. The owners were responsive to calls and e-mails, friendly and helpful. We really thought we got the Manhattan experience we hoped for, and this rental was a big reason.

Home Sweet Home

5 of 5
What a pleasant surprise to find a charming apartment in the heart of upper west side historic district. The apartment is beautifully decorated and immaculately maintained. I stayed here for 2 weeks on business. My family visited on a weekend and also loved the place. Especially my son who is a dinosaur fan (short walking distance to the museum). Though the neighborhood has a lot to offer - restaurants, shops, and museums, it was nice to come "home" after a busy day. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. Would strongly recommend this place to anyone!
