A very comfortable and large 1 bedroom apartment .

My Husband and I stayed at this property for one month in October 2014. The apartment felt homey, has a large bedroom with a King Bed and good storage, a Living Room furnished with comfortable furniture, a nice size Dining room and functional kitchen in addition to 1 1/2 half bath. The location is close to everything, transportation, grocery stores, restaurants and all the attractions that NYC has to offer. We hope to return next year.

The Perfect Location

5 of 5
My wife & I, plus her sister & husband, spent a most enjoyable four days in this lovely apartment. Although I have been to Manhattan many times before for business and pleasure, I was not aware that such a fantastic neighborhood as Yorkville existed. Everything you may need, from grocery stores, wine shops and a fantastic selection of affordable restaurants and carry-outs, is within easy walking distance. Plus, the scenic walkway along the East River and Carl Schurz Park is not to be missed. The nighttime view of the lighted buildings and bridges is gorgeous, and the entire area felt very safe day and night, with local residents and families strolling about at all hours. And it doesn’t hurt that New York’s mayor is a neighbor at nearby Gracie Mansion! Yorkville seems more like a small town, than a part of the New York metropolis. Yet the Metropolitan Museum and Central Park are within just a few blocks walking distance. The apartment was very comfortable for two couples, complete with a well equipped kitchen, and being able to enjoy quiet time in an actual back yard in New York was a rare treat. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting New York.

Our recent trip to NYC was made perfect by our choice to stay at this charming property. What a delightful home complete with comfortable furnishings, everything one could need for their stay, a little slice of "country" in the beautiful garden, and homemade cake upon arrival!! Wait, did I mention that there are two full baths in this apartment?!? You will find the home clean, well maintained, filled with lovely pieces, and sprinkled with whimsy. Oh, my…who could ask for more?!?! The apartment is centrally located within a short walk to Starbucks, a grocery/convenience store, a laundry service, the subway, and quaint eateries to meet the taste of virtually everyone. We loved walking about the neighborhood and having a sense of really being a part of the city, versus simply a guest at a hotel. Should you continue to have a doubt about booking this property, let me simply say that you will not find a more welcoming hostess!!! Joan greeted us upon our arrival (which was quite late at night!!) with the warmth of a long lost friend. Her grace, charm, and humor will make you feel as if you have known her your entire life. All the while, Joan is absolutely professional in all correspondences, answers questions in a very timely fashion, and makes every attempt to ensure your stay is all that you could wish for…. We will be back ~ frankly, I sorely wish we did not have to leave!!!!
