Great stay

5 of 5
Very comfortable house, we used the grill and kitchen to cook a lot and sat outside on the deck, walked through the woods, and enjoyed the peaceful area. Living room was a good size for the five of us to relax and play card games, etc. The house is in close driving distance to several state parks with hikes that are good both for stronger and weaker hikers. The property owner was friendly and checked in with us to make sure all was well. He was discreet but let us know that we could contact him with any concerns. If you stay here, check out the wonderful used book store just down the road!

Heaven on Earth

Listing is accurate and does not do this property justice. Over the last 4 years we have stayed in the farmhouse or the modern ranch for much of August. The houses are clean, tastefully furnished and beautifully decorated. Simply put: they are comfortable, well-equipped and fun to stay in. Grounds, view and pool are all drop-dead gorgeous. Located in farm country: nearby rolling pastures abound. Owners could not be nicer or more thoughtful, responsive to any issue without being intrusive. Easy access to Hudson, Williamstown and general Berkshire area. We look forward to returning year after year.

A Hidden Gem

5 of 5
Our large extended family rented this lovely house overlooking a scenic beaver pond for our Christmas get together and the house was spectacular. We enjoyed the large open dining and living room area with plenty of room of all of us to sit and eat at one time, the grand stone fireplace, and the hot tub on the deck was just what we needed after a day of skiing at nearby Jiminy Peak (10 minutes away). Ping pong, pool, and air hockey as well as several TVs provided more than enough entertainment. The owner came to show us how to work the hot tub, fireplace, and wood stove and shared some history of the property as well. A great place for a relaxing weekend and family reunion. Our cell phones and blackberries all worked from the house, not that we used them much in such a relaxing environment. Don't be alarmed when you drive down the driveway as most of the house is not visible from driveway but is built to capitalize on the spectacular view. There is a trout stream running through the property so we plan to return in the Spring for some fishing.
