Friendly and cozy place!

5 of 5
We were three adults and a child and we all agreed that it was a great place to stay. It's safe and comfy. We were in the city all day and used to come back late at night because of the transport and costs issues. Cynthia received us the very first day with all the information we needed to know about our stay, the busses, restaurants and shops around the house. She even touch based with us to see if everything was Ok. The beds were good and comfortable as well as the kitchen use came very handy, and it is completely independent with its own key. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and relatives to stay.

FANTASTIC ACCOMMODATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

4 of 5
My husband and I spent a fabulous week in this spacious, very clean and quiet apartment. The owners had left us the essentials for breakfast our first day and we were grateful for the coffee, baguette, orange juice and milk they had waiting. The (free) ferry is just a 10 minute walk from the house and it runs every 1/2 hour for 24 hours/day. We enjoyed passing in front of the Statue of Liberty at different times of the day - especially at sunset. One thing we learned during our stay, is that there is a bus (#42 or #52) that picks you up at the ferry station and drops you very close to the apartment when you get back from the city. You can use your NYC Metro Card on these buses. This was especially nice after walking around the city all day, if you're too tired to tackle the (uphill) walk home at the end of the day. We would both like to return as soon as possible and highly recommend it to travelers who want to be close to Manhattan but without all the hustle, bustle, noise and expense. Guy & Alexis

Property as described

4 of 5
Property is newly renovated and is very similar to the pictures. We had an enjoyable stay. The property manager was accessible when needed and addressed any questions that we had. Listing mentions central air conditioning. It is a window unit that is centrally located in the living room. The cottage does cool down quickly. However, air does not seem to adequately reach the bedrooms. The temperature in the bedrooms was not unbearable; just warmer than we would have preferred. Listing mentions linens and towels. You are provided with one bath towel per person. They do not provide hand towels, wash clothes, or kitchen towels. Consider bringing your own. We did not use the kitchen facilities and/or the cable/internet services provided. Therefore, we cannot comment on them. The shower had nice water pressure and temperature. Unit was quiet and parking was not a problem. This unit met our needs. If looking for a rental again, we would certainly consider renting this unit again.
