Excellent rental for families with dogs (and w/o)

5 of 5
The house is well designed for people living out of a suitcase but wanting to be able to cook and eat and relax in an attractive, well appointed house. The house was updated with a lot of attention to detail. The materials and fixtures were of high quality and very well done. We particularly enjoyed the kitchen and large table. Everything we needed was handy, cooking utensils, kitchen and bathroom supplies. We arrived later than planned and appreciated the beds having been made up. The owner and rental agent were helpful and pleasant. We were happy to have found such a great place to stay with our dog.

A Month Was Not Long Enough!

5 of 5
Not only are the sunsets spectacular, but the night sky filled with brilliant stars and the moon beam floating across the water all make the deck the only place to be on warm summer nights! The cottage is small but cozy and inviting, and with the deck can accommodate large family gatherings comfortably. Both the cottage and the grounds are well-maintained. The owner and property manager are warm and welcoming and willing to do whatever needs to be done to make your stay a memorable one. The kitchen is stocked with all the conveniences of home, meeting the needs of either casual cook or gourmet chef. A washer and dryer assure a supply of clean, dry towels for swimmers and boaters alike. Set back away from traffic, the location is ideal – quiet and serene, yet a short drive into the village. Skaneateles boasts a wide range of unique shops and a variety of restaurants like the Sherwood Inn, Blue Water Grille, and The Krebs. There are also several wineries that welcome visitors to sample some of the finest domestic wines New York State has to offer. After a busy day, returning to the comfort of the cottage and the calming effect of the water was a little slice of heaven. A month-long stay was truly not enough!
