What a gem!
We stay in Saratoga Springs annually for a folk dance conference and festival. What began with young friends sharing hotel rooms has changed considerably, now that we're older parents with young kids.
This vacation rental met our needs to a tee. The large kitchen, living room, and dining room comfortably accommodated our five families. Each family had a comfortable bedroom of their own. The location made downtown and the City Center building an easy walk, even with kids, even in the winter. As a matter of fact, we didn't drive at all, after we arrived.
The house (and particularly the kitchen!) was stocked to meet our various needs. The market--less than two blocks away--was super convenient. Even the division of rooms (three upstairs, two in the renovated basement) allowed for convenient noise partitioning--our baby didn't wake anyone else up.
Best of all, though, was the the easy, responsive, and completely accommodating nature of the property owners. Nick was fabulous. He met our every need and exceeded our expectations.
The one caveat to be aware of with this property is the staircases--they are steep and winding. The house is ill suited to older persons with mobility issues, and toddlers require extra attention and/or baby gates. We found the staircase issue manageable, but noteworthy.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay. The per family cost was less than hotel rooms; the accommodations offered us unparalleled flexibility and convenience; and the owners were great. We're already planning to come back, next year.
