Amazing views and gorgeous decor!

5 of 5
This was a gorgeous space located in the center of all of the activity of Lake Chautauqua! The decor is exquisite and the amenities exceptional. I can't wait to go back!

Beautiful apartment. Easy access to Subway and bus. Responsive owner.

5 of 5
This is a very nice third floor apartment in a lovely brownstone. Very large by NY standards. The living room couch is a twin or king size bed. The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment from each other. The kitchen is well stocked. The wifi worked great. We had a couple of small issues, the owner and property manager were quick to respond and very polite. As out of town tourists who did not want to stay in the insanity that is Manhattan, we loved this location! A or C subway station is a 5 block walk on well maintained streets. Subway into Manhattan is only about 20 minutes. There is a real grocery store on Garvey only a block away. The 24 hour deli on the corner of Garvey and Decatur was convenient for sandwiches coffee and tea when we got back late or headed out early. Lots of close restaurants. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for a clean complete apartment (not a tiny studio) in Brooklyn or wants to visit the city without having to be in the city.

Very convenient to mountain, spacious condo

4 of 5
We and 2 of our kids stayed at the property over President's Weekend. It was very spacious, comfortable and convenient. Almost everything we needed was provided in the kitchen and bedrooms. Overall, Kevin and Jamie were very responsive owners and the condo was lovely. We were stuck inside a lot (one of the kids was sick, plus is was unbearably cold on Sunday), but we had lots of games to play -- cards, chess and other board games -- which were plentiful, excellent Wifi throughout the condo, and a flat-screen TV with DVD player. My 10 year-old especially loved the chess table on the 2nd floor, which motivated him to learn how to play chess. We did have some problems that were mostly later resolved. The weather was extremely frigid and windy, even for the Catskills, and the pipes in the master bath shower/tub were frozen when we arrived, and the fireplace did not work when we got there. The condo was very cold downstairs (lower 60's), but extremely warm upstairs (upper 70's). We called the owners about the problems when we arrived, and they had someone come first thing in the morning to fix the fireplace and give us advice on regulating the temperature differential upstairs vs downstairs (ie closing the upstairs vents), which helped a lot. He also turned on the tub, which miraculously worked for him, but it stopped working again once it got very cold that night and did not run for the rest of our stay. We just used the other shower, and all the other sinks and water sources worked fine. The bottom step of the condo outside was loose when we arrived, and finally fell off, which made navigating the outside stairs precarious with all the snow. Finally, the closest lift to the condo was not running, and because of all the snow, we could not access the bridge that went to the nearest trail, so it was definitely not a "ski-on/ski-off" situation for us. We had to drive over to the main lodge and park with everyone else to go skiing; a 2-minute drive, but not what we expected. My overall rating for this place is still very high, because I felt that most of the problems were beyond the owners' control, and were not typical, and our stay was very pleasant and comfortable once we got the kinks worked out.
