It was so nice of you to open up your home for our family on short notice! The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree – your daughter Iris bent over backwards for us and both of you greeted us warmly when we arrived.
Among the coolest aspects of the house is that you were a pioneering female architect, studying at the Technion, and building this house and lake with your own professional skills so many years ago (1980s?)! It has so many cool architectural elements. Some of the other things we really like about the house is your husband’s extensive library, the views, and the piano!
The house is nestled by the Lake and surrounding lovely mountains, and set back far from the road in secluded woods, which offsets a bit of the wear and tear. Our son caught a fish in the lake and cooked it. It was fun hanging out in the hot tub. There was plenty of room for all of eight us to hang out in the living room, and we fit comfortably around the dining room table. We also had a lovely time exploring the charming city of New Paltz nearby.
Thank you again for attentiveness and your warmth,
Teri & Jeff Lautman
