Very cosy and well equipped, super location

4 of 5
We came for christmas with our family (2 adults + 3 teenagers) , we had a wonderful stay : easy access to subway (5/7 minutes walk), very clean and top kitchen equipment. Very quiet place...only heat system was not working very well (noisy fan system). We recommend for family and long stay to visit all nyc wonderful places. Valérie - FRANCE

Wonderful getaway!

5 of 5
My husband had surgery yesterday, and we wanted a quick getaway before going to the hospital. This studio apartment was the perfect place to stay, and it was very close to Lapland Lake, where I went skiing. Cheryl and Doug are very warm and welcoming, and it was so nice to find a plate of homemade Christmas cookies for us! The apartment is spotless, and beautifully decorated with many Adirondack themed artifacts! (where did you get the moose clock, I loved it!) The bed, as noted in other reviews, is extremely comfortable, and there is a great hot shower! The location is perfect for skiing and dining as there are a couple very nice restaurants close by. Thank you Cheryl and Doug for the wonderful week-end! It was such a treat to stay at your beautiful studio apartment!

Awesome cabin. Way in the middle of nature

4 of 5
Very cool cabin in the middle of the woods. Way in the middle of nature. Lots of wildlife all around. My only warning pack light the hike from the car to the cabin is on a steep rock road and is very difficult to walk up and down with your gear. Next time I will probably bring a hiking pack.
