Authentic better than the pictures on the site

This is a delightful updated 18th century home set in a drop dead beautiful setting complete with a waterfall and surrounded by trees and and more luscious acres than you can feast on, a mere 10 minute walk from the town of Tivoli which has wonderful restaurants (even by NY City standards) and is a charming throwback to the sixties.

clean good condition, warm, homey nicely decorated

We loved our stay. It was perfect for our family (3 kids thank Gd). The place was clean and organised. The pictures don't do the home justice. Our kids loved the lake and sand beach. We made good use of the kayaks. Monica was great to deal with and always available to answer all our questions. We would definitely come back for a holiday.

Relaxing weekend in the countryside with friends

5 of 5
We came up here for the Labor Day long weekend with some friends, two small kids and our two dogs. The house was perfect for such a large group - the kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of room on the sofas and around the dining table. Our dogs absolutely loved walking around the woods and trees at the back of the property. The road is very quiet and we rarely saw any traffic, the only detractor was the sawmill at the bottom of the hill which spoiled the ambience somewhat, but you can't see or hear it from the house. We took a few trips to the local towns for supplies, stopping at the Catskill Market near Liberty and a famers market at Bethel Woods; plenty of local produce for evening feasts. Highly recommended for a group of friends or large family.
