Beautiful bright and cozy in the heart of the ADKS

5 of 5
Charming, clean, cozy and bright rental in one of my favorite parts of the park. A beautiful property minutes from the amenities of Ausable Forks, close to WhiteFace and the charm of Lake Placid. We throughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend this perfect get away for a couple, small family or a group of friends looking for a weekend in the wilderness! Great property where dogs can roam around without issue and views can be enjoyed with ease. Mike and Mimi have done an excellent job with this property and are very communicative and accessible! Good times across the board! -Matt Stillman

Wonderful place, better than advertised

5 of 5
The property description was more than accurate, a delightful place to stay on the North Fork of Long Island. My first time stay here outdistanced all my expectations. The owners were delightful, and give personal service. They only think of how they can enhance a stay for their guests, and are always thinking of ways to provide for their guests' comfort and make a better stay. I stayed here in the winter, and while I am sure that it is a different experience than in the summer, it is not to be missed. The quiet peace of the snow and a wonderful fireplace as well as a frozen pond with ice fishing make for a great winter experience.

Hot spot, hot tub, what more do you need?

5 of 5
I booked this place as a Romantic Christmas gift getaway for my girlfriend and i for 3 nights. Drove 5 hours to be in this area. Gorgeous area and cottage. So clean and the location is unbelievable. We arrived late at night, Cathy was kind enough to leave a note detailing everything out and a lovely tray of cookies was also waiting. Hot tub is close by, bring shoes or something plus a bathrobe if in the winter. The mattress was a little soft but not terribly uncomfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, only thing i didn't find was a whisk but a fork works just as well. I cooked meals all day for the two of us there. oven is a small one but i was able to manage. The only thing i could recommend is tending to the bathroom window. It doesn't seal so the bathroom was always cold especially when the outside temp is around 8 degrees. Their is a wall unit heater to take the edge off but if the door is left open it does nothing. The surrounding area was the immediate downtown on Main St. and not far is plenty of hiking, skiing, and the Olympic attractions are worth the time. I can't wait to come back sometime in the summer so i can take advantage of the lakes and all the hiking. The place is so cozy i didn't want to leave. The living room couch was comfy to watch a movie with the gas fireplace on. Like i said before i cannot wait to come out this way again and stay here.
