                        Unique home in Lake George

                        5 of 5
While we were sitting outside toasting marshmallows at the fire pit with views of the lake, a biker rode by and said "great house!". Our 6 year old daughter giggled and yelled "Thanks!". It was a wonderful vacation home filled with historical rich touches and the comforts of home. Seated in the mountains outside of town we were able to feel like locals and enjoy both the beauty of the area (including the Lamas across the street) within a short drive into all Lake George has to offer. The two story layout of the house allowed us to stay up past our daughter's bedtime without tiptoeing around. For the price of a hotel room we had a bigger space, privacy and were not surrounding by tourists. Equally important, the house was very clean (im a stickler about this!). Nancy, the owner, made herself available and was very attentive. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a home in Lake George!

Perfect house in a wonderful location

                        5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Maria! The house is perfectly situated away from the main street of Bolton Landing so it's peaceful and quiet but only a short walk to shops, food, and Ben & Jerry's. The beaches are very nice here and also within walking distance so you don't have to pay for parking. We had 6 adults and 3 children (2 of them teens) and we had PLENTY of space. The porch was wonderful for relaxing and reading and the dining room and living room became "game central." The kitchen was well appointed and the dining room fit us all with room to spare. Maria and David are attentive owners and answered any questions we had and solved any minor issues that may have come up. Can't recommend high enough!

                        A Tranquil Train Station Retreat

                        5 of 5
The Highview Villa is immaculately decorated and very comfortable. A group of six of us stayed for a long weekend and we had a great time cooking, relaxing and enjoying a quiet break from the city. Maureen and Joe were gracious hosts and left us with many suggestions of what to do in the area as well as all of the fixings to make smores! It was also a special treat to see their photo album that documented the renovation process that turned a defunct train station into a spectacular home. We spent evenings admiring the detailed craftsmanship and beauty of the grand hall while enjoying the quiet, natural setting. Some venue highlights: - Enormous back yard with small trails into the woods - Bonfire pit (with s’more roasting sticks!) - Huge living room, perfect for playing Charades - A chef’s kitchen with everything you might need to prepare a feast, including a dishwasher to help clean up! We had absolutely no problems with our stay and would love to go back! Hopefully for longer next time!
