A TRANQUIL TRAIN STATION RETREAT

5 of 5
The Highview Villa is immaculately decorated and very comfortable. A group of six of us stayed for a long weekend and we had a great time cooking, relaxing and enjoying a quiet break from the city. Maureen and Joe were gracious hosts and left us with many suggestions of what to do in the area as well as all of the fixings to make smores! It was also a special treat to see their photo album that documented the renovation process that turned a defunct train station into a spectacular home. We spent evenings admiring the detailed craftsmanship and beauty of the grand hall while enjoying the quiet, natural setting. Some venue highlights: - Enormous back yard with small trails into the woods - Bonfire pit (with s’more roasting sticks!) - Huge living room, perfect for playing Charades - A chef’s kitchen with everything you might need to prepare a feast, including a dishwasher to help clean up! We had absolutely no problems with our stay and would love to go back! Hopefully for longer next time!

PERFECT HOUSE FOR OUR FAMILY!

5 of 5
The home was clean, comfortable and set up for a vacation for privacy or togetherness. The formal dining room provided the perfect place for dinner and card playing at night for the eight of us. Some of us especially enjoyed sitting out on the covered porch during the afternoons to read, chat and enjoy the rain. Some of us enjoyed the location - perfect for walking into town to shop, get coffee, etc. We all enjoyed the boating activities nearby. To top everything off, we spent July 4th at the town park watching a magical firework display. If we ever get another opportunity to stay at Villa Maria, we will go for it. Truly our favorite vacation!

A WINTER WONDERLAND

5 of 5
The property was clean and fully stocked. From the bottle of champagne to the snow plowed driveway everything was fantastic. Nancy, our hostess, was lovely and answered every question we had about the area. A very special place - a wonderful wood burning fireplace kept us warm in the middle of a major snowstorm! Close to town and quick to get to from the highway. Easy trip to both downhill and cross country skiing. Give it a try during WInter Festival in 2015!
