VERY CLEAN

5 of 5
It was very clean. We felt comfortable enough to take off our shoes after walking all day and to take a bath in the tub. The place we stayed in Connecticut was the opposite so it was refreshing when we arrived to this place. The friend that was traveling with us kept walking around cause she had never stayed in such a nice place. Great places to eat. Look for a German restaurant within the area; amazing bratwurst. Subway only a 5 minute walk with a bagel shop on the way. Two keypads for entry to make you feel safe. Quite a few stairs so pack lite or workout first. Noise was a bit bothersome. We had friends stay in Times Square at a hotel on the 23rd floor and they too complained about the noise. I don't think it matters where you stay, it's busy and noisy New York!!

Spacious and perfect for easy access to Manhattan

5 of 5
This apartment was comfortable and exactly what we needed to enjoy a week in the NY City area. The Temperpedic queen beds were great, the landlords were extremely helpful and responsive, from the moment I first emailed to ask questions to when they met us at 1am after our flight arrived at JFK, and they refunded our damage deposit within a couple of days after we checked out. The neighborhood is a good one, in Astoria (near Long Island City) just three subways stops from midtown Manhattan on the Steinway line. We could get to Manhattan in about 15 minutes, depending on where we were going, although it took closer to 40 minutes to get to the 9/11 Museum area. The subway entrance is only about a block away and you have no trouble unless it is getting close to midnight--then you better figure which trains run that late and where to get them or take a taxi. I liked that there are shops and restaurants nearby and you feel safe, even quite late at night. The balcony was a nice touch for getting air and watching the sun set (it's off one of the two bedrooms). One thing we misunderstood is that there are several ways to connect to internet, through their wifi modem and also through satellite. Read their binder carefully and realize you have more than one way to get service. Overall I can't say enough about how comfortable we were (two couples traveling together). We could have accommodated more people using the sofa and they also have an aero bed. I should also mention that the air conditioners worked well on the hot days; we didn't need them when the weather got cooler. I highly recommend this unit.

Great value for your money!

4 of 5
Stayed in this beautiful apartment when I was New York and it was the perfect place. Great location, close to transportation system and a lot of fine restaurants in the area. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet too. The place itself was well-maintained, clean and the beautifully furnished. Definitely worth my money's value!
