EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!

5 of 5
We were lucky to spend 4 days and could have stayed longer! The house is so clean, beautifully designed and the owners take every extra effort in making you feel welcome. Everything is so easy and there is so much to do! We boated around the lake, swam, hiked the rolling brook trail (a must, but note it does take a good 4+ hours, pack water & snacks), visited DIA: Beacon. In the evenings we relaxed with good meals prepared in the fully equip kitchen, enjoyed the incredible record collection and watched a DVD or 2 from the wide range available in the screening room (an experience in itself!) The house is perfectly designed with the sleeping areas to the front with the living and entertainment areas overlooking the water. We were even spoilt with a cherry pink sunset the one night while enjoying a few drinks around the fire pit outside that overlooks the lake. Just perfect! Already looking at dates to return!

This is one for the memories. An airy A-frame cottage perched in a thick forest canopy, just the right sort of isolation and tranquility for lazy afternoons on the deck or long evenings listening to LPs by the fire. We cooked like chefs in the kitchen that seemed to have any little tool or condiment you could dream up. And we slept deeply to a symphony of crickets and bullfrogs. There are little delights hidden all over the place, which is cleanly renovated but keeps its old soul. Highly recommended..
