Magical Cabin

5 of 5
This cabin is truly wonderful. There is rarely a case where the actual home is prettier than the pictures . In this case, the beautiful pictures do not do it justice . It is beautiful. The cabin itself is very comfortable. It is decorated in a way that is perfect for the setting. There is a true live stream in the back. I had the privilege of staying for ten days. My days were filled sitting by the stream. Sometimes I built a nice fire by the stream. S'mores and hot chocolate were long over due treats. Truly a magical experience for folks like me that stay over-stressed most of the time. The owners are very very nice and go out of their way to make your stay extraordinary. I am hopeful I will return soon.

Cozy cabin w/ a modern twist.

5 of 5
My wife and I were looking for a weekend rental to celebrate our one year anniversary. We have had some bad experiences in the past but from the moment we spoke with Garibaldi the process was a breeze. Since I mentioned in passing that it was our anniversary he had romantic music and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. As we drove up the secluded terrace we were amazed by the beauty of the cabin itself and the area surrounding it. As we opened the door we were taken back by the rustic and romantic feel. The decor is eclectic, comfortable and VERY clean. It was the perfect place to melt the stress of the city away. Wether you want to kick back and read a book by the fire or cuddle up and watch some tv this mountainside retreat is a perfect choice for a romantic weekend. We decided to spend our Saturday shopping in Woodstock which is just a beautiful 25 minute drive from the cabin. My only suggestion is that you plan extra time to stop at all the small town shops on the way. I know we will be coming back an could not recommend this highly enough.

Great off-the-grid retreat

5 of 5
What an amazing little respite from the world. When my husband and I wanted to get off the grid and away from NYC with our dog, we headed to this quaint cabin and enjoyed three days of bliss with no wifi and no cell service (I lost cell service more than two miles from the house...this is seriously off-the-grid). I thought that this would be difficult for someone like me (I'm always tied to my cell phone and the Internet), but it wound up being the best thing for us. We read into the night and fell asleep early and watched the stars under the skylight in the bedroom. We cooked in the very simple kitchen and barbecued on the grill before making s'mores. The cabin was clean, very simple and no frills. Perfect for us. Swimming in the river down the driveway, lots of nature, and peace and quiet in the middle of the woods -- that's what this place has to offer. True bliss. And when we wanted a taste of "civilization" we headed to Saugerties, Woodstock and the main strip in Phoenicia (not even 10 minutes away by car). Thank you to our hosts and lovely Phoenicia for a peaceful and restorative 4th of July weekend.
