The Perfect Mountain Retreat

5 of 5
I can't say enough to recommend this cabin in the woods. It has a great location - 3 hours from LI - near Phoenicia and Woodstock. The cabin is perfect for 2-3 people. In addition to being beautiful, the furniture is also incredibly comfortable. The owner was wonderful about answering our questions and making out first Home Away experience a good one. He made sure we had all the info we needed about the cabin and recommended his favorite restaurants and outdoor activities. He even called to make sure we got there safely. The cabin has all the amenities you'd expect - TV, wi-fi, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker. Plus, he provides plush linens and towels. We will definitely be back

Magical Cabin

5 of 5
This cabin is truly wonderful. There is rarely a case where the actual home is prettier than the pictures . In this case, the beautiful pictures do not do it justice . It is beautiful. The cabin itself is very comfortable. It is decorated in a way that is perfect for the setting. There is a true live stream in the back. I had the privilege of staying for ten days. My days were filled sitting by the stream. Sometimes I built a nice fire by the stream. S'mores and hot chocolate were long over due treats. Truly a magical experience for folks like me that stay over-stressed most of the time. The owners are very very nice and go out of their way to make your stay extraordinary. I am hopeful I will return soon.

Truly Lovely Cottage and Surroundings

5 of 5
Stayed at this delightful cottage for a 4 day weekend - wished it could have been for longer! The cottage is cozy, welcoming, interesting and peaceful. Every night we cooked our dinner over the stone fireplace and relaxed by the creek. The cottage is stocked with everything you need from pots and pans to music and books (and good ones too!),and unique eclectic furnishings. Brought our dog and she had a blast too!. The owner is lovely and stayed, despite our late arrival, and showed us everything and gave us all the scoop on the area. This area is beautiful and we packed in a lot in the four days. Phoenicia is really sweet and very dog friendly with some yummy restaurants (Sweet Sues) the area has loads of hiking, good antique shops and flea markets and great towns nearby such as Woodstock. We really fell in love with this area (and this property) and we will surely be back! - great vacation!
