Realxing Valentine's Day Getaway

5 of 5
Don't be fooled by this cottage's setting - it may have the perfect beach location, advantageous for the warmer months, but it's also a cozy retreat in the winter as well! We chose to spend our long Valentine's Day / President's Day weekend here and we couldn't have asked for a better location. Neil was prompt, courteous, and very helpful in organizing our stay. The cottage was very well stocked in all aspects from kitchen utensils, to books and puzzles, to even fresh towels. We kept warm by the fire with our puppy and enjoyed the panoramic scenery, venturing out onto the secluded snowy beach to explore. Thanks again Neil for allowing us to conveniently escape the city to your beautiful home.

Beautiful views on the water

5 of 5
We had a wonderful time at this house. The sun room is enormous, with lots of comfy places to sit. We loved the deck, which got copious amounts of sun, along with a great view for sunsets each night. We enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement and also took the kayak out on the sound. The location is great, close enough to neighboring towns but also secluded and quiet. The master bedroom upstairs has a stunning view of the water. All in all, we loved the house and hope to go back soon.

Amazing Girls Weekend!

5 of 5
We stayed here 2 years ago and just returned for another weekend at the Bittersweet Cottage. The cottage is pristine and exactly as pictured here. It's the perfect location for visiting one of the many wineries, farm stands, Town of Greenport, Shelter Island or just grilling in the backyard space and relaxing. Hope, the owner, is the sweetest. She treats you like a friend, not just a tenant. There are so many little touches in this place that you can see she cares a lot about making this place a home away from home. I highly recommend and will be returning in the future.
