A very clean, well-stocked, family friendly cabin!

            5 of 5
This cabin was the perfect family getaway! It was very clean and well-stocked with linens, towels and kitchen supplies (dishes, silverware, can opener, coffee maker), even for our large group. The small shed by the lake made fishing and kayaking very convenient and hassle free, as we kept our supplies in it and didn't have to lug it back and forth from the cabin. The owners' thoughtfulness continued by the lake, where they had several chairs and life preservers. The entire Paradox Lake area was very quiet, family-friendly, and about 20 minutes from a local supermarket. So, you can get away from it all, but not too far away if you needed something from the store. Thank you so much for providing our family with a great place to stay to make great memories!

Loved our summer vacation at Camp Pair-o-Docks!

            5 of 5
We had an amazing week at the Camp! The house is beautiful and comfortably slept our whole family (6 adults + 3 kids). The house itself feels new, with beautiful wooden floors / beams, and is well furnished. The views from the house are terrific - the master bedroom has water on two sides and gets great light, and similarly the main living area and downstairs bedrooms have views of the lake as well. The house sits on Lake Paradox, ~4.5 mile long lake - there are other houses on the lake but in general it is pretty quiet. The lake is fairly shallow so is quite warm, perfect for swimming and other activities. We rented a boat and did a ton of water skiing and fishing, as well as kayaking and lounging on the swim rafts. The house sits on 320 acres with some good walking trails behind the house (kids loved swimming in the "waterfall" up the hill). Hiking Severance Hill leads to nice views, and you are not far from the High Peaks. The caretaker, Bob, was nice and very responsive as well. No complaints from us, we would definitely go back!

            Beautiful Camp Awad!

            5 of 5
What a wonderful place for a vacation retreat! I spent a relaxing week at Paradox lake along with our friends. We were 7 in all. We had more than enough room to spread out and enjoy everything this property has to offer. From back yard BBQ's to daily games of wiffle ball in the front yard, we had a blast! The well equipped gourmet kitchen was a pleasure to cook in when we weren't going to the Drake restaurant in the town of Schroon close by. This home was clean and comfortable with beautiful woodwork and cosy little nooks. It was very enjoyable. Did I mention that we caught and released a ton of fish and took advantage of the row boat we were offered to use? We spent our nights in the hot tub, watching movies in the family room or sitting on the dock watching the sunset. Just a really nice inviting home with all the ammenities one could hope for in a vacation rental. We will be back!
