Most Relaxing Vacation

4 of 5
We stayed here for our February School Vacation and our plan was to just unwind, relax and enjoy our family time. We were quite successful in this! The house was spacious, with plenty of room for us to set up Legos (and keep them set up all week). We had plenty of room to cook/bake as a family. And plenty of room for us to all have our own space. The completely fenced in yard was a wonderful bonus for our dog, who just ran and ran and ran around!! Our favorite part was the beautiful fireplace, which we made full use of! We did have to provide our own firewood, which was fine with us, but would have liked to have known that ahead of time. The Home Depot in Kingston did have a decent supply of wood for our week long stay. We also visited a great butcher shop in Kingston (Fleisher's), which we highly recommend! The house is exactly as shown in the pictures. Julie was very easy to work with, and we had no issues, so it was really the most relaxing vacation!! I would most definitely recommend this rental and would return here myself!

Exactly the cozy cabin we were looking for....

5 of 5
My wife and I rented the house in the second week of December 2014. The house was perfect. Barbara could not have been more helpful prior to our arrival. The information she provides you with is incredibly comprehensive and answers any questions you could possibly have while you're there. The pictures are real and everything in the ad is real. Unfortunately it rained most of the time we were there but we had a great time in the house just cooking and relaxing by the fireplace. We also had our 14 month old son with us and he had a good time too. One thing that was really convenient was the the small farm doors that separate the different sections of the house so for example we were able to stay in the kitchen and not have to worry about our son running to the other rooms to explore. We were also able to relax by the fireplace and watch TV in the living room without having to think about him on the stairs or running into the kitchen. Just close the farm doors and you can keep an eye on your little one without getting up. It was an added bonus that we had not even thought about. We plan to go back again before the winter ends. The kitchen is truly stocked and in good shape. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals and the dishwasher was great to have. We did get to walk the property a little and it really is amazing. We are hoping it snows next time we go so we can enjoy the property more. The heat in the house is great and it was really cold weather when we were there. All together it was a wonderful time and we are happy that Barbara allowed us to rent from her. We feel like we found a hidden gem. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy cabin feel in a rural setting to get Away from it all.
