We have rented many vacation homes over the years and this one was by far the most unique. You could just feel history coming alive at "The Station". The listing for this home was spot on in every detail and exceptionally clean. The owner could not have been more gracious and helpful. Since we stayed mid-week in April, between normal vacationing seasons, most restaurants in the area were closed. He suggested a restaurant in Broadalbin, "Wine and Roses", that while it did not have a lake view or ADK ambiance, did have wonderful food, so Willem literally saved us from having a can of soup and a sub in the Station that night. Highly recommend this rental!

Comfortable, cozy cottage - a perfect vacation!

5 of 5
My husband and our 3 children really enjoyed our stay at your cozy cottage on the Great Sacandaga Lake! We spent lots of time canoeing and kayaking around the islands on the other side of Northhampton campsite. The evenings at the cabin were spent playing mini golf, watching the boats on the lake, and sitting by the fire roasting marshmallows. We are making it a tradition to come back every year because we enjoyed ourselves so much. The cabin was very clean and had a rustic charm that fit into the Adirondack setting. The kids thank you for providing games and puzzles that we all enjoyed. I was happy to have a washer and dryer so I did not need to go home and do laundry! My son caught his very first fish on the dock. Thanks for providing family memories that will last a lifetime.

Wonderful stay at this cozy cabin!

5 of 5
I can't say enough about this wonderful property! The cabin was spotlessly clean and well equipped. There was nothing missing we could have asked for - there was even shampoo and conditioner in the shower! As many previous reviewers have noted, the bed was incredibly comfortable. Getting out of bed in the morning was the only chore of our day. Doug and Cheryl were very helpful throughout our short stay. Doug suggested a lovely hike for us to take, and was kind enough to let us interrupt his busy day to drive us up the river and supply tubes (and Cheryl dug up a floating cooler!) so we could tube back to the house. The location of this cabin is wonderful with riverfront views and close access to the lake. We were also able to use their kayaks for a quick trip out on the lake. We couldn't have asked for more and we will definitely be back again, hopefully for a longer stay!
