Private, Comfortable House

5 of 5
This house is situated on a very private road. It is immaculate inside and very comfortable (beds, couch, reclining chair, bar, etc.). The woodwork in this place is impressive as well as many of the framed drawings on the walls done by one of the home owners. The house is well-stocked, has a great screened in porch, a fantastic deck (with a nice netted canopy around the table and chairs to keep the mosquitoes away), and a large back yard. We really loved the view of the water from the back yard and the dock and spent a lot of time out there. Even though this end of the river is shallow, there was still plenty of water to do some kayaking, a little fishing (my husband caught a small-mouth bass), some swimming (our dog), and a lot of fun rock throwing (our son). The satellite TV, internet and WiFi were also much appreciated (Note: There is no cell phone coverage at the house). The house is conveniently located to major roads that can take you all over (hikes in the Adirondacks, the quaint town of Northville, Sacandaga Lake, shopping and amenities in Amsterdam, Lake George and Saratoga- just to name a few). Meghan and Arthur also provided a bottle of local wine, a bottle of sparkling water, chocolates, and a dog bed and toy for our dog's stay; just so incredibly thoughtful! We won't hesitate to stay here again, whether next time in the fall or again in the summer!

Great Experience

5 of 5
I was very happy with my stay here. The house was very spacious, clean, nicely furnished, and had everything we needed stocked. The use of the owner's kayaks and paddleboat was a huge plus. The view of the lake from the house/patio was fantastic. The owners went way beyond expectations in terms of hospitality/nice-ness/helpfulness. They went out of their way to ensure we had a fun weekend.

Lake House retreat!

5 of 5
One of the best vacations we have had! A wonderful home on a quiet lake. Canoeing, fishing and paddling boating right outside your door. Two great docks...one on the edge of the property and one in the middle of the lake. My kids (and adults) really enjoyed that. The boat launch is 5 minutes around the corner to tube, fish or sight see. Sacandaga Lake is amazing. Lots of history...... The town of Northville is very quaint, friendly and has anything you need. We wished we could have stayed longer and hope to be back there soon. My children...12, 11 and 8 LOVED IT...as did out dogs and family and friends that visited. What a special place. Memories were made.....Stephanie Cox
