Great Get-Away!

5 of 5
Rented this property for 2 nights into the weekend with 4 adults and one child (4 years old) - it is on a very quiet street close to a dock, which was a perfect relaxation spot at sunrise and sunset when we were there. The kid was able to ride her scooter up and down the street safely. It is also a very short distance from the main drag - we didn't have to use the car to have dinner and walk around. We visited several beaches close by and took the short ferry ride to Shelter Island and continued beach-hopping there. The house itself is charming and well-kept - we were all comfortable! Would rent this property again!

Lovely lodgings in the heart of the village

5 of 5
For a long weekend my husband and I were delighted with Amy's spacious, beautifully renovated apartment. As former art students we both enjoyed being surrounded by original artwork, and staying above the gallery was a treat. Nice linens, thick towels, an iPod dock, top-flight appliances, and a comfy bed were all very appreciated. Though the deck looks over the back of some buildings and a consignment shop, we liked sitting outside in the sea air and taking in a "slice of life" in Greenport. The location was convenient yet quiet: just a block from groceries and wine shops, etc., plus many eateries, and within walking distance to the jitney/train/Shelter Island ferry. A terrific place to stay—we would love to return!

Clean, comfortable, great location

4 of 5
We were two couples and a toddler visiting from NYC. Joyce and Hector were very friendly and very helpful. We had plenty of room for the 5 of us and the kitchen is a nice size and is well-appointed. The Murphy bed in the living room was comfortable. The location could not be better for exploring Greenport and the neighboring wineries. We really enjoyed visiting Sparkling Pointe winery and One Woman winery for the wine, and Kontokosta for the spectacular setting. The food in Greenport was above average, if a little overpriced. We loved 1943 Pizza (one of Joyce's recommendations) and thought 1st and South and Salamander's were just okay with some interesting service issues.
