Harlem Hideaway Was Uberfab!

5 of 5
We loved our time in Harlem and staying at the Harlem Hideaway helped make that so. Dennis was an ever gracious host suggesting many local eateries and attractions, which we enjoyed. We highly recommend that folks visit the Studio Museum of Harlem, which we found more interesting than MOMA. We relished all the exhibits, but especially Kianja Strobert - Of This Day In Time. Go see it if you can. (http://www.studiomuseum.org/exhibition/kianja-strobert-day-in-time) And it was so close to everything! Including a subway stop that made it easy to jump downtown or to get to Penn Station. The room was exactly as described and spotlessly clean. The bed, pillows and linens were extremely comfortable. Dennis has a great flair for design, which is enviable. We were able to stash our luggage after check-out time, which was deeply appreciated as well as the use of huge umbrellas during the monsoon rain on the last day of our stay. We are already telling our friends about the place and can't wait to go back!

Felt like home

5 of 5
At the end of a long day, we looked forward to returning to our home away from home. We felt the parlour apartment was spacious and relaxing, thoughtfully decorated, and well equipped. It was warm, and cozy. We loved the proximity to the north end of Central Park, the quick access to the subway system, the short ride to all points south of the park, and the quick walk to the bus that goes to LaGuardia Airport. Dennis inquired as to what our plans were, and helped us with tips and extras to help us on our way. At night, the apartment was very quiet, and in fact I slept better than I do at home! Worth every penny. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous property, would go back anyday!

5 of 5
We stayed in this apartment over Christmas and new years and had an amazing time. We stayed with two of our friends and loved every minute. The apartment was well looked after, spacious and had a "homely" feel. The bedrooms are good sizes and there was plenty of space for our things. It was very cold when we arrived however, the apartment was very warm ... sometimes too warm for us England folk but Jessica and Jason adjusted it for us within hours of asking. The location of the apartment is brilliant. Only a two minute walk to the subway and situated within a variety of restaurants and shops etc. We visited the Ravenshead pub on a number of occasions (loved it!), the Queens Kickshaw and MexiBBQ. All were brilliant! Keyfoods was a great place to get all of our groceries from. The neighbourhood feels safe and we would have no hesitation in going back to this apartment when visiting NY again. Thank you Jessica and Jason for a lovely stay :) Xxx
