Fantastic New Years!!

5 of 5
Every year we try to do something a bit different so that the fun is fresh and enjoyable. This year we decided to spend New Years Eve out east. Since we are city people , we were kicking around a few different ideas/places and settled on renting this lovely home in Montauk. We are a bit tired of the club scene and large parties and frankly wanted to take some time to recharge while having some close friends enjoy some fun together. Immediately after speaking to Karen, the owner I could tell these people were extremely straight forward, organized and conscientious of their home and the people they rent to. I quickly felt comfortable with the owners and their approach and therefore so did my friends The application process was quick and efficient. We were able to wire all funds directly so not taking much time out of our workdays. Owners quickly sent confirmations after each step of the way which I was not expecting but it was refreshing since our last rental felt like so much work...... This made us feel completely secure. When we arrived at the house and walked in, we immediately felt like "Gosh this is really beautiful". Location is pristine and home has above expectation amenities. We actually used the expresso machine and waffle maker for breakfast. The kitchen is stocked with all great Caphalon pots and pans.... not that I cooked myself but my girlfriends boyfriend David was in heaven. At one point he yelled out "they even have a Cuisinart". The house is decorated with fantastic taste and the flat screen T.V's and surround sound of course was the ultimate for the boys. The living area was super spacious and the fireplace was wonderful. It made for a great entertaining area where we enjoyed drinks and appetizers. The house is so much more than the pics suggest on line that we were really super excited. This never happens...... Bed linens and towels are top of the line and mattress' were really comfortable. These are NOT things that a rental usually provides so I feel its worth mentioning in this review. Waking up to 360 ocean views is something we were in awe of and will not forget. It was just amazing! It made us ambitious to walk to the Private Beach and take in the beauty around us. The town and the events at the lighthouse were really nice and cool. Eating at the Harvest was terrific and the spa Karen recommended was actually one of the best massages I have had in a while. Overall our stay was FABULOUS! I would highly recommend.

Beauitful home for a group getaway

5 of 5
I've stayed at this property multiple times in both the winter and summer seasons and repeatedly had a wonderful experience. Joe, the property owner, is the best. He takes fantastic care of the space and his guests alike. The house is flooded with light and white-washed walls that complement the nearby sand and sea. The calm, beachy vibe makes you feel as if you are somewhere much farther away than the tip of Long Island. I've stayed here with a group as large as eight and as small as two. The cottage in the back of the main house creates a flexible setup appropriate for either a social or intimate getaway. I hope to visit this lovely house again soon and relish in the peaceful respite it provides from city life during any season.

Amazing stay in beautiful newly renovated house

5 of 5
From the first contact with Ralph, the owner, everything went smooth. Prompt replies to our emails. When we got closer to the rental start date, he provided us with all the directions by email, informations about Montauk and surroundings. In the house, you also have a few cheat-sheets in the house to help you use the different appliances. I agree with the comments below, the pictures don't give the house justice. It is so much more beautiful. Very clean. The kitchen is top-notch, all Kitchen-aid equipped. We used the fireplace because it was Christmas time but the house gets warm very quick with the central-heater anyway. We were welcome with a little personalized note on the counter and a little gift. Very much appreciated. The house has 4 rooms which I agree with previous comment are not very big but if you live in Manhattan, you'll probably find them huge for your standards. And anyway, you want to spend time in the kitchen cooking, or in the living room chilling with friends on the large couch. The kitchen table is very big and can easily welcome 8 people. I could not enough recommend this house even though I hope it won't be a victime of its success and see its rates hiked. Finally I would say that the house has obviously been fully renovated. And every thing has been done in a very good taste with no intention to hold back on what's the best: coffee table from Restauration hardware, heated floor in bathroom with stone-tiles, silent diswasher and induction cooktop from Kitchen-Aid, huge Samsung flatscreen and Samsung soundbar to play your music with Bluetooth are among some of its features. One drawback: Southampton is 40 minutes away. But East Hampton only 15-20 minutes, beautiful beaches a few minutes away and two IGA (grocery store) 5 minutes drive away. Just want to go back as soon as possible to relax again.
