Perfection

5 of 5
We live in Brooklyn and this was our first time visiting the Catskills. I have to say we had the best vacation staying on Rosemary's beautiful property. We were looking for a private place with tons of land we could bring our dogs to and just cook and relax and this was just perfect. It is extremely private, and the yard and views are breath taking. The house is clean and the beds are amazingly comfortable. We took full advantage of the 6 burner stove top and gas grill and made beautiful feasts every night that were followed by toasting marshmellows by the fire. The scenic ride into the adorable little village of margaretville is gorgeous and the village has everything you need-Supermarket, CVS, a really nice Liquor /wine store, and coffee shops. For people who like to hike we ended up hiking to the top of Slide mountain ( the highest point in the Catskills) which is just about 30 minutes from the house. It was a harder hike, maybe not great for kids, but for 6 sort of fit adults it was such an awesome experience. We also went to pakatakan farmers market which is on Saturdays very close to the house, it was so fun, and we bought a lot of local stuff. Also on our way home we went to Peekamoose restaurant which is a must do for everyone, the farm to table food was incredible. Rosemary was a perfect host. She was always available for any questions that we had and all her recommendations were so on point! Easy and stress free check in/ check out process. We definitely hope to rent from her again in the near future!

A perfect Catskill hideaway

5 of 5
If you're looking to have an adventure in the Catskills i would strongly recommend this property. Perfect for 2, and would be just as ideal for a larger group. The view from the back deck is alone worth the stay. The house is secluded, well maintained, and offers relaxation or adventure in only a short drive. The house seemed perfectly located so you could either head to the east or west side of the Catskills park within a short drive. Barbara, the property manager, was very friendly and informative. We didn't need to call her for anything, cause it was all provided, but had we needed her assistance she was at an arms reach. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely home with us we can't wait to come back.

Cozy Family Home in a sweet Catskills town

4 of 5
We loved staying at Hilltop Manor! The house was perfect for our family of four - comfortable, kid-friendly with lots of room to spread out and enjoy our stay. Outstanding location in the heart of Margaretville, a charming village with just the right mix of amenities (grocery store, cafe, yarn store!) and calm village life. The house has a great kitchen, very comfortable living space with nice extras (large TV and DVD player), and spacious bedrooms. Also just a 10-15 minute drive to skiing at Bellayre Mountain, the focus of our holiday. Very attentive and responsive property managers who were terrific at every step in the rental experience. One star deducted because of a plumbing problem that was only partially resolved during our stay. But all in all, a wonderful place with very attentive property managers. We'd return anytime!
