Highly Recommend

My boyfriend and I recently spent 8 nights here and we had the best time! The apartment is in the perfect location - there are so many lovely restaurants and bars close by, as well as shops and the subway is just around the corner. The apartment has everything you need including additional towels and bedding. I cannot recommend it enough and will definitely try to stay here every time I visit New York. Also, we had dinner in the restaurant downstairs one evening and we both said it was one of the best meals of the holiday so if you have a chance, definitely try it!

Such an amazing experience in old Harlem!

5 of 5
Larry, the host, welcomed us to his house and made our stay in New York a pleasure! He was very accommodating and attentive to our requests. Without hesitation, my family and I would say, he was one of the most genuine and real people we have met. His house is located conveniently near the express A and D trains and local C and B trains, as well as the 1 train. It's a bit of a commute to Lower Manhattan (30-35 minutes) but we are more than happy with our choice -- a great price for renting an entire floor in a large and cozy historical building. The description of the house (i.e. layout and amenities) is completely accurate. But if you have any questions, you should feel free to approach Larry with any questions.

Perfect

5 of 5
My friend and I were in NYC for a visit recently and despite a co-worker saying East Harlem is a not a good place to stay, we went for it. Full disclosure, yes there are undesirable characters close by on Lexington Ave. However, this was never a problem and the ones we spoke to were friendly and funny. Just be smart, problems can happen in any city. The place itself offered everything we needed, all the kitchen and bathroom amenities one would hope for. The AC is powerful and will cool down the apartment on a hot sunny day. The location is very close to the subway station which is easy to navigate and it's not a far walk to Central Park. Would I stay here again and recommend it to my friends? Yes and already have suggested this place to friends. As for the owner, I don't have enough characters remaining to say how helpful, knowledgeable and attentive he was. A thousand thanks! Made the stay... pretty much perfect.
