Great Place to Stay

5 of 5
The apartment is beautiful and spacious. The subway is very close, making it easy to get to anywhere in the city. The neighborhood is quiet at night. I would definitely recommend this place to couples and small families wanting to see the city.

Very clean UWS Victorian apartment

5 of 5
The apartment is very well equipped and set up for a wonderful stay in NYC. The location is excellent, near Columbus and Broadway and in the same block as the amazing Levain Bakery. There are many other good restaurants and food markets nearby as well as the subway and Central Park.

The Harlem Hideaway was a huge hit with us!

5 of 5
The wife, baby (15 mos) and I came to Manhattan for a wedding. The bride forwarded a link to the apt to me. The pics looked great and the location was perfect for us. When we arrived we were very impressed with the amount of space and the great amenities. It's clear Dennis put a lot of effort into mixing in some modern luxuries without losing all of the charm a 100+ year old building has. He has done that masterfully. Being a designer by trade has its advantages. The apartment was clean, neat, quiet and secure. I generally don't like to stay in garden units because they can make one feel vulnerable. However, we felt very safe with the number of security measures the owner has taken. Dennis was very helpful with giving us the lay of the land regarding many of the surrounding businesses and restaurants. It was so nice to walk a few blocks to the patisserie in the morning. We felt like we were part of the fabric of the neighborhood. Some of the wedding guests stayed at the Waldorf. I'm so glad we didn't. We got so much more for our money. The next time we visit NYC we'll make sure it's warmer (it snowed several inches one of the days). When we do come back we won't hesitate to stay at the Hideaway.
