Nice and pleasant, wish we could stay longer

4 of 5
We enjoyed staying at Tall Pines. The location was great and we wish we could have stayed longer. Really loved the outdoor firepit and appreciated use of the boats.

Winter Paradise

5 of 5
Our winter vacation at the Wild Goose was tremendous! The lodge is spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. The quality of construction and attention to detail is terrific, and the property is very clean and well maintained. As an avid cook I found the kitchen just incredible! Every imaginable pot, pan, utensil, and spice is there and at your fingertips. You could quite literally cook anything you could think of for 50 people without a stretch. The commercial appliances, right down to the coffeemaker; are very convenient. Our families loved relaxing by the beautiful stone fireplace in the great room and had a ball in the downstairs game room. The Adirondack Winter scenery is beautiful and the lodge is located right on one of the very best snowmobile trail systems in the state! The steam room is a welcome relief after spending a chilly day snowshoeing or riding the area trails. As a frequent vacation renter I found the subtle details very impressive. A community pantry helps pass on food items that would normally be thrown out, extra snowmobile trail maps are available for your use, and motion detector night lights throughout the lodge are some examples of the well though out details that go a long way to making your stay perfect. Steve is a pleasure to work with and absolutely goes out of his way to ensure your comfort. He is always a phone call away for anything you need.

Magnificent Loon Lake Landing

5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay at Loon Lake Landing. The cabin is so well equiped and lovely it felt like we were staying in a comfortable home, not a vacation rental. The views of Loon Lake and the High Peaks region are beautiful, with Whiteface Mountain as the mountain cascade center piece. The available Kayak had us paddling several days, exploring all of Loon Lake and getting up close to who the lake is named for. Fires in the outdoor stone fireplace, a night sky dense with stars and the milky way in clear view made for spectacular evenings. We didn't feel the need to leave the cabin and the lake but there are a few near by attractions that are worth the drive - Paul Smiths Visitor Interpretive Center has some nice easy hikes which showcase the different environments of the Adirondacks. The Wild Center (Natural History Museum of Adirondacks) in Tupper Lake lived up to the great reviews. Loon Lake Landing is a very special place and we look forward to future stays and experiencing different seasons there. "Nature is not a place to visit, it is home."
