This was a last minute friend of a friend connection rental. We arrived broiled from the road and we all jumped straight into the salt water pool. Even my black lab joined in the fun. We floated for an hour with drinks in hand before we decided to treat ourselves to a meal out at Hello Bistro since we knew we would be cooking every meal for the remained of the stay at home. Yum, yum even a vegetarian option for my crazy sister at least she's not a vegan. Highly recommend checking it out. We did some late night grocery shopping ( next time I'll use the owners concierge service that she is now offering and let her have the place stocked for me). The evening wasn't quite chilly enough for an outdoor fire but what the heck the 8 year olds loved s'mores before bed. We jumped into our lovely crisp clean white sheets and we were out like a light. All three men and boys were out at dawn to fish. According to our anglers, the stream was to die for fishing. Private, quite and beautiful even if the water was high. Fish were caught on subsequent evenings with red wine in hand...lucky catch(es). We hired a local tennis pro and played when the rain stopped long enough for us to hit a few balls. Little kids played basket ball on the court right next to us. We cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner happily in the awesome kitchen!!!! Wow, we easily put (3) pounds of bacon on the griddle each morning and whole wheat pancakes to boot...kids not happy about the whole wheat. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans fit for a kings chef. Blenders, mixers, sharp knives, platters, wood salads bowls...everything I wish I had in the City. When the gals (and even some guys) weren't cooking we were shopping in Livingston Manor or Roscoe. They have such cute little shops in each town. We did some antique shopping on the way to and from Roscoe. I need a bigger car next time. A few hick-ups like the rain no ones fault and the TV's being a bit on the small size but we will definitly return again. It took us 2.15 minutes from the GW Bridge and a bit longer coming home but we left at prime time. Thanks to Willow House for a wonderful time.
