Perfect weekend getaway!

5 of 5
What better way to spend the weekend in Lake Placid than to spend it in this very private and beautiful chatlet. This house was a perfect spot for our stay and was very comfortable. It was so clean and felt just like home. This house provided us with everything we needed (or might have forgotten at home). From the spacious kitchen to cozy fireplace, we could not have asked for a better vacation. We definitely plan on coming back and staying here on our next visit to Lake Placid.

Perfect Holiday Vacation Home

5 of 5
My husband and I spent a special week at Serenity after Christmas with our 3 adult sons and other friends. Tom (the owner) was especially kind and engaging throughout our experience. The house was clean, the beds were super comfy, and we enjoyed the cozy gas fireplace and great room for hours. We prepared most of our meals on sight in the user-friendly kitchen. We especially enjoyed the hot water faucet for frequent cups of tea and for filling thermal carafes for hiking in frigid temps. The mountain views were glorious, especially since we had climbed many of the peaks we could see.

Perfect place.

5 of 5
We can't say enough good things about this little cottage. Sweetly furnished (shabby chic upstairs, cozy Adirondack downstairs), immaculately clean, perfect location one block from the Oval and Main Street. Very private back yard and quiet neighborhood. Best of all, we were able to bring our dogs to this lovely house, which made for a perfect long weekend. There's a quiet access road buffered by woods behind the house, which was the perfect place to let the dogs run and play (in addition to the large, fenced-in yard space). While the house isn't huge, we fit our four kids perfectly, with the large beds and many couches. The house is essentially a split level, with an upstairs kitchen, eating area, master bedroom. The downstairs includes a big den, spacious bathroom and second bedroom. The layout keeps everyone from falling over one another. We loved it. Lastly, the owner was incredibly helpful, accommodating and easy to reach-- thanks again, Josh! We will definitely be back!
