Great week!

5 of 5
John and I have been acquainted since the 1950s when I had the privilege of spending six summers at the wonderful music camp, Undercliff, because my parents worked there. I wanted my grandsons to see this beautiful spot in the Adirondacks. Both boys had a blast with John's paddle boat and tubing behind the family boat. One launch was sufficient for the entire week, thanks to the use of John's awesome boathouse and a slip at Paradox landing. The well-supplied cabin was perfect for the six of us. The view of Whiteface from the boathouse deck is magnificent. We loved watching the classic Chris Crafts on the lake. John greeted us with a personal touch and made us feel very welcome. He and his wife were available but unobtrusive and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We will be returning in the near future.

Secluded Romantic Retreat

5 of 5
We chose this property because it had mountain views and a hot tub- my only requirements. The cabin is located in Keene, NY- which is a cute little town in the Adirondacks. I am glad we brought an all wheel drive vehicle, because the driveway is steep and gravel. Not sure my Corolla would have made it. We made it just fine with our trailer and canoe, though. This is a very secluded cabin- all you can see are mountains and trees. It is very well placed on the land. Inside is meticulously kept. Everything we needed was there including a grill, pots/pans, etc. There is nothing bad to say. The hot tub was working perfect, the fire pit had plenty of wood, the bed was comfortable. We wish we had more time and look forward to coming back. Our last morning there, 8 deer were in the front yard foraging. They were so close they could hear me cooking pancakes! Wonderful place- was sad to leave.
