Cannot wait to visit, again!

5 of 5
My husband and 2 sons cannot stop talking about how much we enjoyed our stay in this little house in Lake Placid. We came for a long ski weekend and felt right at home here. This old farmhouse is completely updated, very clean and warm. It's bigger than it looks in pictures. The owners provided everything we needed from a well-stocked kitchen to plenty of fresh linens and towels. They even left a laundry basket near the washer and dryer. Very thoughtful! Every night we had fresh snow. And every morning the owner carefully shoveled the front walk and entrance for us. The mile walk to the main drag and Olympic Center is quick, the edge of Mirror Lake a bit closer. But no need to walk further than Liquids & Solids or Lisa G's across the street for some of the best food in town! If you are cooking your own meals, try the sausage from the butcher next to Liquids and Solids, delicious!

The Elms was perfect!

5 of 5
We stayed in the Elms cottage with 2 other couples for a long weekend. The house was spotless! It was big enough to accommodate 3 couples and then some. Everyone had their own rooms and bathrooms. The fire place kept us warm each evening. It was a quick walk across the pond into town and the Lake Placid Brewer was right at the end of the street!! I would absolutely recommend staying in the Elms to anyone looking to get away and stay in a place that feels like home! We will be back for sure!

great stay!

5 of 5
We spent a long weekend here and had a great experience. The house had just about everything you might need, even basic necessities in the kitchen. It didn't have a microwave but we made do without. Lots of linens, nice and cozy, comfy beds, and tons of books around! If we come back for another hockey tournament this will definitely be our go-to, was great to walk to the activities on the lake, including the toboggan chute and skating, and the Olympic Arena.
