Perfect Cabin In The Woods

5 of 5
My sister, brother-in-law, husband and I gathered here for a Canadian Thanksgiving (Columbus Day) weekend retreat. It was an absolutely perfect weekend. The house is great - we made healthy use of both the indoor and outdoor fireplace/pit. Spent the weekend cooking, playing games, wandering the lovely quiet neighborhood and venturing up to Hadley Mountain about 30mins away for a fall day hike (highly recommended!). We had some trouble with smoke in the indoor fireplace - the flue is a bit tricky - but found if we kept the fire roaring, the smoke wasn't bad. My only wish was that we'd had an extra day. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful villa with splendid views

5 of 5
This is a very well constructed and maintained villa - A labor of love. The pictures posted in the listing are more or less a fair depiction of this beautiful villa and the surrounding scenic beauty. Evenings are a good time to relax in front of the large TV. The owner has a good collection of dvds, alternatively a Red box is about 5 miles away. Morning sun rise is beautiful and not be missed. We made use of canoe provided in the premises to enjoy the morning view. The patio is a good place to have your morning breakfast or play cards. If you are into cooking, all the basis amenities for cooking are also provided. The furniture is immaculate and so is the over all interior. We are a family of five and left with very memorable experiences.

Wonderful Vacation Home! Definitely recommend it!

5 of 5
We found this home to be in the perfect location. It is 15 minutes away from Lake George in a quiet neighborhood. The amenities were fantastic. A fully stocked kitchen, games, movies, towels, sheets........we didn't need to bring much besides our clothes. The property is well maintained and clean and the owner was a pleasure to work with. She was very helpful and answered all questions. We took full advantage of the area. We rented a motor boat and tube from The Waters Edge marina in Bolton Landing. Rented paddle boards in Lake Luzerne. Rented kayaks in Bolton Landing and stopped in Lake George at Sheppards Cove to eat. We found Lake George to be crowded for water sports and feel it is better in Bolton Landing. We took a ride to Au Sable Chasm (a little over an hour away)and had a fantastic time on the Adventure Trail. We hiked all around the area of Lake George, Lake Luzerne and Bolton Landing. Fireworks on Thursday night in Lake George. We went Mini Golfing at Pirates Cove. Bon's ice cream was a favorite! We were there a few times. We took a drive to Prospect Mountain. You can have a picnic at the top. Evenings were spent at the chalet relaxing, playing games, watching movies and cooking our dinners. I would highly recommend this home.
