PERFECT LITTLE FIND

5 of 5
This home is perfect for a family vacation. Close proximity to all that Lake George has to offer!!!! Our family was able to walk to all the shops, restaurants, and lakefront. Perfect location!! Park your car and never worry about paying for parking--- The cottage was clean and well maintained when we arrived in Lake George. It was obvious that Terry has done subtle upgrades to the property---new kitchen and downstairs bathroom. The cottage keeps with the integrity of Lake George--keeping the lake/cottage feel. Terry came and checked up on us on day two--made us aware she was always available and that she was local. She left us some free steamboat cruise passes---a very nice touch!!! My one request, and it is super minor since it made me walk 100 yards to the local coffee shop in the mornings--no wi-fi. Not a big deal really since the goal is to unwind at the lake-- This was my first time to Lake George--the Village is awesome--local music, art show, cool and eclectic shops, and really friendly people. We went horseback riding, whitewater rafting, boat cruising, and chilled at the lake. At night--sat on out patio, popped a bottle of wine and listened to the local music scene---we had our kids so we didn't hit the late night scene although it was there. If you are deciding on travel to Lake George--you need to reach out to Terry--this place is a hidden jewel!!! Thanks Terry--we had a great vacation!!!! Vince and Shelloy Ranhorn Norfolk Va

OUR WORD FOR THE WEEK WAS TRANQUILITY!

5 of 5
My husband and I and our two small dogs had a wonderful stay at Charlene. We really liked the looks of the property when searching online but we were absolutely amazed at how nice and peaceful the property was upon our arrival. The property was even better than the pictures online. The cottage amenities were exactly as advertised on the website so there were no surprises when we got there. Becky was wonderful to us and also left us to our privacy. After finding out my husband is a history buff she recommended a visit to Saratoga National Historical Park and printed out information and directions for us which made our trip there very easy. The Lake George area has many great places to see and wonderful places to hike with our dogs. We also took a day trip up to Lake Placid which wasn't too far of a drive and offered wonderful scenery of the Adirondack Mountains and a peaceful drive. While the weather was a little chilly for our visit, the little beach on the property would be a wonderful place to swim and while away a sunny, warm afternoon. There are several nice vantage points to sit and just enjoy the tranquility of the lake. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we vacation in New York we would most definitely stay at Charlene again. We very much appreciate that the cottage and property is dog friendly. A definite deciding factor on where we would stay. Thank you for sharing your cottage and property with us Becky!!

GREAT GETAWAY CABIN!

5 of 5
A group of six of us (three couples) stayed at this cabin for Memorial Day weekend. We really could not have asked for a cozier cabin with a "Lake George feel". While it's not waterfront, this cabin is a great value. The owners had everything that we could have needed stocked up, including extra blankets upstairs which saved us since it was unseasonably cold and rainy the first two nights of our stay. It's close to everything, but set back just far enough to enjoy the cozy peacefulness of the Adirondacks. Property was very clean and well maintained. The cabin was also equipped with a gas fire place in the living room as well as a smaller one in the master bedroom downstairs (which we absolutely loved- hello 40 degree Memorial day weekend!) in addition to a fire pit, bbq grill and cable tv/dvd player and an air conditioner upstairs. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a Lake George getaway.
