        Lovely Lake Cottage!

        5 of 5
This lovely cottage on the lake was just perfect! Beautifully kept house, furniture and property, complete with kayaks and canoe to use on the beautiful lake. Equipped with life jackets for adults and children, as well as central air and heat, and a back-up generator. We were very impressed with the beauty of the house and the excellent care Deb and Mark have taken to ensure renters' comfort. The Adirondack museum is less than an hour away or a five minute walk gets you to a lovely little public beach. There are many restaurants if you don't wish to use the adorable kitchen in the house. We especially loved the care taken to plant hummingbird friendly gardens all around the property. They visited us often! We recommend this terrific place to everyone looking for a quiet Adirondack getaway!

        My Favorite Escape

        5 of 5
To anyone considering this rental, I just have to share my thoughts. This will be my 12th returning year to this property. It has become a part of life for my kids and I. It is beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and the views at all times of day are spectaculor...If you are a fisherman/woman, you will love this location. Bass, pike, trout, pickerel, catfish and crappy are throughout and have had much success off the dock and shore. The fire at night is a must as the sky is filled with shooting stars. Being lakefront is beyond breathtaking. There are so many things to do in the area from hiking, antiquing and sightseeing. The home itself is so comfy and you have everything you could ever need already there. I have to warn you however, once you get to know the owners, plan on always wanting them in your life. They are very special..If you have not rented this property before, please do yourself a favor and do so...The memories begin the moment you do.. Lynn Rundle, Albany, NY

Adirondack Getaway in Charming Rustic Cabin

        4 of 5
My husband, two children and I vacationed for a week in this lovely cabin in the southern Adirondacks during the peak fall foilage season of 2009. This cabin is a wonderful getaway for small families and/or friends. Rustic, but not too rustic with propane fueled lanterns, hot water and even a refrigeration system. We were surprise attacked by cooler temperatures than expected, but the wood-burner kept things snug and warm for our nightly round of family charades, puzzles and general relaxation. The owners are very unobtrusive and give you carte blanche on the property while you are there with guest books outlining good leads on excursions and secret spots you might not otherwise hear about. Our number one recommendation is the Adirondack Museum, which is described as the Smithsonian of the Adirondack's and does not disappoint. Thank you for a great family getaway in a clean, quiet and lovely environment. The only reason I didn't rate this "excellent, five stars" was because the weather was quite bad the entire time, which obviously has nothing to do with the cabin and it's comforts and cannot be helped.
