Wonderful Stay!

5 of 5
My husband and I spent 6 idyllic days in this apt last week and couldn't be happier with our choice! Rob, our host, was gracious and accommodating. He was always available by phone, and checked on our comfort during our stay. He even had a bottle of bubbly and a couple glasses out for us when we arrived to celebrate our Anniversary. Thank you! The apt itself was modern, comfortable, well appointed, and very clean (a MUST for us). The bed and shower were especially wonderful! The location was great....nice and quiet after chaotic days in the city. The apt building backed up to Inwood Park and the river....It was truly gorgeous. We met lots of two and four legged friends in the park. :) Transportation was a breeze. The Subway was just a couple blocks away for trips into the Financial and Garment Districts, and there was a local transportation company "BroadDyck" that had very quick service and good fares when the subway wasn't the best option. For instance, $25.00 to the Theater District. (It was raining and I was in heels and didn't want to deal with the subway), We did take Rob's advice and visited the Indian Road Cafe, on the same block as the apt. We are so glad we did! The food was really good and the service was also. Toward the end of the meal, Amanda, our waitress realized it was our Anniversary and shared the news with the patrons at the nearby tables. We received well wishes from everyone. It was really nice. In addition, Amanda surprised us by taking off the $30 bottle of wine we had consumed as a Happy Anniversary and "Welcome to Inwood" gesture. So unexpected and generous! We also can recommend the Piper Kilt on Broadway. It does not look like much inside or outside but they advertised the "Best Burgers in Town" and they weren't kidding! They also made a mean fish and chips! Totally satisfied there as well. Oh! And had the BEST time at the Bronx Zoo....only about 5 miles or so from the apt and a real treat! All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to book with Rob again or recommend his apt. to our family and friends!!
