Perfect Getaway from the City.

5 of 5
My friends and I decided to go away camping/fishing for a weekend - roughing it - when our wives all decided that they'd like to tag along. The only condition was that we had to stay in a lodge, with TV's, wifi, bathrooms, etc. I believe the ladies called it "glamping". So I got on Homeaway and started my research. I came across quite a few, but the Black Bear Lodge stood out for all the amenities it provided. It was perfect! I contacted Robert and his response was promptly returned. Extremely courteous, professional, and answered all of the questions my party and myself had. The boys wanted to fish, and the Black Bear Lodge is literally steps from the lake. The girls wanted their own rooms with bathrooms, TV's, wifi, an amazing kitchen and a abundance of space. This lodge was simply amazing. Extremely well maintained, clean, comfortable, and spacious. My party all congratulated me in finding such a great rental. The description and reviews don't do Italy justice. One really has to go out there and experience it. My party was only 6 people, (3 married couples), no children, but it definitely has plenty of room and space for large families. Robert was a pleasure to work with. As mentioned, extremely prompt with his replies, responsible, and very helpful. We loved it so much we've all decided to go back during the summer! Defiantly highly recommend to anyone whose looking into getting away, relaxing, and enjoying plenty of comfort.

Excellent Roomy Home / Great Weekend!

5 of 5
We held a family reunion at this home the first weekend in September and it was outstanding! It was clean, well maintained, and comfortably accommodated the 30 guests. Plenty of seating at kitchen table and 2 picnic benches on huge deck. Great lake and mountain views from the home. With theater room, game room, great room, large deck, fire pit, and canoe there was plenty of space for everyone to be entertained. Would definitely come back again in the future!

Great stay

5 of 5
Stayed two nights for a ski trip to Hunter mtn with a group of 15 people (ages 23+) House - beautiful! Listing and pictures were accurate but the house is even better in person. kitchen and pool table were great. Clean, warm, lots of space, lots of sleeping room. Owners - responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Definitely recommend to others!
