Excellent space for a big group

4 of 5
I came up here with 100 people for the weekend and we had an incredible time -- the house is AWESOME. It was an excellent space for a big group, with multiple kitchens and tons of cookware that made it easy for us to cook a pot of chili for 100 people. There was definitely enough space for people to sleep in all the beds and snuggle up on air mattresses/sleeping bags, and a beautiful space outdoors. This property "has wifi" but it definitely doesn't work. I called the owner during our stay to ask about it (he was very responsive) and confirmed that because it's so far away the internet isn't exactly "fast" -- but for us it was essentially nonexistent. I think my emails came through maybe once during the weekend, but honestly it was better that way because nobody was on their phones or computers. Heating on the ground floor isn't great, and we tried turning on the kerosene heater in the basement/night club space, but it got really smokey so we didn't use it. Hot water was spotty at best, but we made it work. Overall we had such a great time that those things didn't really matter. It's a fun space and the area surrounding is beautiful. Working with Jessica and Karen was great -- super responsive and immensely helpful. Made the rental process very easy.

Stone Lodge

5 of 5
This is a very nicely restored lodge. It retains the character of its historical past yet has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The living room is a comfortable gathering place with old stone columns, high ceiling, and a massive fireplace. Although there are no photos of the kitchen in the listing, we found it to be modern, well equipped and stocked with paper products, spices and other supplies. Each bedroom has a bathroom and comfortable beds, including a crib. The exterior is nicely landscaped and has a large deck with a gas grill. The location is convenient - close to Kaaterskill Falls and many stores and restaurants in Tannersville less than two miles away. The Mountaintop Arboretum right near the property is worth a visit. We will book this property again and have already recommended it to others.

We loved it!

5 of 5
We stayed for a week with my parents and two kids. The house was spotless and very nicely decorated. Not at all old and shabby like some of the rentals I've stayed in. The kids loved the pool table and cable. I liked the fireplace and view of the creek and the general coziness of the place. The kitchen had everything I needed and then some! The house is located on a long and pretty private road which was safe for jogging and riding the bikes. We also had picnics down at the creek which you can also see from the house. We will definitely stay again!
