GREAT RENTAL!

5 of 5
Traveling with elderly parents (oxygen, wheelchair scooter) to the Hudson River area was a joy while staying at this apartment. It was obviously very meticulously renovated. The apartment is as described- quite large, very clean, very tastefully decorated. We were able to explore the area. We travelled as far south as Peekskill (all the mansions and West Point) and travelled over the bridge to Hudson and to Olana (home of Frederick Church). The highlight was a visit to OPUS 40- a outdoor sculpture park near Saugurties. We took a Hudson River cruise from Kingston and walked across the Hudson near Poughkeepsie. Athens has some wonderful old architecture that is being restored. All in all a wonderful retreat. The food and beer at CrossRoad Brewery was fantastic but our night dining at the StewartHouse was supreme- we felt we were in a Frederick Church painting- it was so beautiful. What a wonderful memory to share with my parents.

LOVELY HOME!

5 of 5
We stayed at Villa Sophia for a 'girls getaway'. The home is as beautiful as the pictures portray. It has a fabulous kitchen with all the essentials to prepare meals and enjoy at the oversized table in the lovely dining room. We spent a lot of time at the house. The rooms are clean, comfortable and big. We highly recommend Villa Sophia.

IDEAL TOWNHOUSE IN HUDSON, NEW YORK

5 of 5
My daughter’s wedding was planned for the weekend of July 4th and I reserved several properties for friends and family to stay comfortably over the weekend. The Hudson townhouse was one of these and was fabulous with large bedrooms, ambient light, wonderful, well-stocked kitchen opening to a beautiful yard and garden, large dining room and spacious and comfortable living rooms with a wide assortment of books. The townhouse is also within walking distance to the train station, and all the hot spots on Warren St. The owner responded quickly to all my questions and returned my security deposit the day we left Hudson. Without hesitation, we would return again, should we have the good fortune to do so in the future. Following I include the comments of two of the guests who shared the townhouse. “Lovely interior decoration, beautiful landscaping, and fully stocked bathrooms with great products and nice towels. Feels like staying in a boutique hotel.” “It has spacious rooms, all comfortably furnished and pleasantly decorated, and a garden with an array of plantings and resting places. Everything from the linens and toiletries to kitchen cabinets, appliances and spice bottles were very high-end and pristine.  It had something of the air of a house prepared by an interior decorator and real estate agent for showing---in short, a slightly eerie, intimidating aura that kept one cautiously well-behaved in case the residents might return any minute.  On the other hand, except  for a number of travel books, it  was hard to believe that anyone had actually been living there...  In short, more a very enjoyable guest house than a relaxed inn--except for a garden lunch with a friend.      I'm very glad I stayed there rather in some outlying motel where a number of the NYU gang were putting up....   Many, many thanks for the accommodations ...and the exquisite pleasures of your daughter's wedding and company....”
