My daughter’s wedding was planned for the weekend of July 4th and I reserved several properties for friends and family to stay comfortably over the weekend. The Hudson townhouse was one of these and was fabulous with large bedrooms, ambient light, wonderful, well-stocked kitchen opening to a beautiful yard and garden, large dining room and spacious and comfortable living rooms with a wide assortment of books. The townhouse is also within walking distance to the train station, and all the hot spots on Warren St. The owner responded quickly to all my questions and returned my security deposit the day we left Hudson. Without hesitation, we would return again, should we have the good fortune to do so in the future. Following I include the comments of two of the guests who shared the townhouse.
“Lovely interior decoration, beautiful landscaping, and fully stocked bathrooms with great products and nice towels. Feels like staying in a boutique hotel.”
“It has spacious rooms, all comfortably furnished and pleasantly decorated, and a garden with an array of plantings and resting places. Everything from the linens and toiletries to kitchen cabinets, appliances and spice bottles were very high-end and pristine. It had something of the air of a house prepared by an interior decorator and real estate agent for showing---in short, a slightly eerie, intimidating aura that kept one cautiously well-behaved in case the residents might return any minute. On the other hand, except for a number of travel books, it was hard to believe that anyone had actually been living there... In short, more a very enjoyable guest house than a relaxed inn--except for a garden lunch with a friend.
I'm very glad I stayed there rather in some outlying motel where a number of the NYU gang were putting up.... Many, many thanks for the accommodations ...and the exquisite pleasures of your daughter's wedding and company....”
