The pictures, the descriptions, the reviews are all very accurate. The views are spectacular. I can only imagine what they were like a month earlier, or even when snow covered. The house is really state of the art, and incredibly well stocked and prepared. The information in the book is excellent. We took one of the recommendations for dinner on our anniversary and it too was excellent. It felt great to just relax and enjoy the house and the spectacular property and views. The kitchen is amazing and so easy to work in. If I can change just two things....and neither is a serious issue, it would be these. 1) If the house was able to be fitted to sleep 4 adults, even a place for an air bed on the first floor would work, that would be great. 2) The TV/Cable setup is lacking in terms of picture quality. DVD Player quality is excellent. We will be back!

Quiet and private

My husband and I stayed in this cozy little cabin for a week and were quite comfortable. It was very neat and clean with all of the necessities for a home away from home. The owner called on the first day that we were there to be sure we had everything that we needed. He also sent a message asking us if we enjoyed our stay when we left. The setting was beautiful among the fall colors and conveniently located to all of the places that we went during our stay.

Clean, spacious, secluded, yet near so much!

This gorgeous house rates far better than a cabin: it's a true home-away-from-home. My family of 5 (with kids 6 mos to 6 yrs) had the month of our lives here! We visited many of the Hudson Valley's, Catskills', and Berkshires' overwhelmingly rich family activities; on down days, we filled time playing board games on the deck, air hockey in the basement (mostly while doing laundry) and walking the woods behind the house. (OK, maybe I snuck in a few Yankees games on the satellite TV!) Hillsdale has a couple of cute restaurants; Great Barrington many more. We also cooked in the incredibly well-stocked and maintained kitchen. In all, it is impeccably maintained. With a reliable internet connection, I was able to get a great deal of work done. In all, it's eminently livable in the short or long term . . . no matter what time of year, this is an outstanding bargain! Finally, the owners were both supportive and unobtrusive: the best kind of customer service imaginable. I recommend this place to anyone who has access to a car.
