Great stay on the Hudson

5 of 5
Spectacular views with unobstructed view of the Hudson. Nice to sit out on terrace for summer breakfast. Sarah was always smiling and helpful and attentive to what we needed. Comfortable for two people, maybe three with extra bed in alcove. We suggested a dining table but none of us could figure out where to put it. We were visiting new grandchild in a nearby town and it worked out perfectly. All communications with Sarah were pleasant and she accommodated all requests promptly. We will return when visiting family. Easy on street parking. Need a car since not much around. Bike path nearby a plus but we had our own bikes. Path to apartment from the street would be tricky in the winter.

Great rental!

5 of 5
Traveling with elderly parents (oxygen, wheelchair scooter) to the Hudson River area was a joy while staying at this apartment. It was obviously very meticulously renovated. The apartment is as described- quite large, very clean, very tastefully decorated. We were able to explore the area. We travelled as far south as Peekskill (all the mansions and West Point) and travelled over the bridge to Hudson and to Olana (home of Frederick Church). The highlight was a visit to OPUS 40- a outdoor sculpture park near Saugurties. We took a Hudson River cruise from Kingston and walked across the Hudson near Poughkeepsie. Athens has some wonderful old architecture that is being restored. All in all a wonderful retreat. The food and beer at CrossRoad Brewery was fantastic but our night dining at the StewartHouse was supreme- we felt we were in a Frederick Church painting- it was so beautiful. What a wonderful memory to share with my parents.

Convenience, coziness, cleanliness - it's all here

5 of 5
If you're looking for a place to stay just outside of NYC that's safe, spacious, clean, convenient and peaceful, then this studio in Hastings-on-Hudson is for you! I rent every summer in NY for business reasons without getting to see the place first - so I'm always a little concerned about what I'll be getting. No need to be worried about this place. It's in a beautiful, woodsy area, has a fantastic private, peaceful deck, ample closet/storage space, and all the amenities you could want. Plus it's only a 35-minute train ride to NYC - which goes right along the scenic Hudson River most of the way. Bonus: the landlords are extremely nice, respectful of your privacy, and genuinely concerned about your well-being while staying in their studio apt. I felt completely safe and at ease my entire stay, and loved the area in general - lots of charming shops, good restaurants, an awesome farmer's market (I think from May to Oct.) and beautiful views of the Hudson. I highly recommend this studio apt!
