Harlem Hideaway Was Uberfab!

5 of 5
We loved our time in Harlem and staying at the Harlem Hideaway helped make that so. Dennis was an ever gracious host suggesting many local eateries and attractions, which we enjoyed. We highly recommend that folks visit the Studio Museum of Harlem, which we found more interesting than MOMA. We relished all the exhibits, but especially Kianja Strobert - Of This Day In Time. Go see it if you can. (http://www.studiomuseum.org/exhibition/kianja-strobert-day-in-time) And it was so close to everything! Including a subway stop that made it easy to jump downtown or to get to Penn Station. The room was exactly as described and spotlessly clean. The bed, pillows and linens were extremely comfortable. Dennis has a great flair for design, which is enviable. We were able to stash our luggage after check-out time, which was deeply appreciated as well as the use of huge umbrellas during the monsoon rain on the last day of our stay. We are already telling our friends about the place and can't wait to go back!

Tom was a fantastic friendly informative gracious host. He went above and beyond to make our stay as hassle free as possible. We will absolutely stay here again.

Great Stay

5 of 5
Well worth the price, especially for a weeks stay. I don’t review much, only when I’m really pleased. While not perfect, there is nothing about my stay that would stop me from renting this apartment again. Lets start with the cons, they are superficial (There are a few) - -There was no toilet paper when we arrived -Both television remotes didn’t work -The outlet situation left a lot to be desired Now, here is why my cons don’t matter, -There is a Duane Reade right across the street, we got TP there. -We never watched the TV anyways... why would you? You are in NYC!!! -I brought an extension cord, so we only needed 1 good plug! :-) The Pros: -Great Location -Duane Reade right across the street -Starbucks right around corner -Subway REALLY close by -Door Man learns your name fast and greets you with a smile -Comfy bed(s) -Great shower -Affordable prices for NYC Traveler tip - I suggest you bring your own towels and clean up after yourself, it makes Aia’s (Owners) job of preparing for the next guest go a lot faster.
