              Excellent Traditional brownstone apartment

              5 of 5
La sienna review Myself and my partner stayed at La Sienna for 8 nights in early September 2014, We booked the apartment in Harlem based on the positive reviews we had read on trip advisor and home and away, the competitive price offered and the amenities on offer, we were not let down. It was amazing !!! We easily found our way to La Sienna from the subway station on 125th street, a short walk to the apartment in what we found a safe neighbourhood. On arrival we were greeted by a smiling host, Yvette. We were swiftly showed to our good sized apartment and giving a quick run down by the host on restaurants, shopping and transport links within the area of Harlem and that of Manhatten. The area around 123rd street has lots to offer in way of shops, restaurants, bars and transport links. Walking back to the apartment at night was no problem either we both felt safe, although sticking to busier streets, as with any area, would be recommended. The apartment itself was very well presented with everything you would expect to find to make it a home from home. Well stocked kitchen with all equipment needed including a large selection of tea bags of different flavours and basic food ingredients left by previous guests which came in handy. The tea selection, provided by the host herself, was a lovely little touch to feel welcome. The oven, microwave, kettle and fridge were all used everyday, staying here definitely saved us a few dollars in being able to prepare our own food when needed. There were lots of traditional features of the apartment such as the window frames, coving, flooring and bedding which were what we wanted to feel the whole brownstone apartment ambience. The bed was very comfortable which helped after a long day with many miles of walking. Yvette was so friendly and welcoming towards us. Additionally, she had some lovely pets who we managed to have a few cuddles off on occasion in the communal hallway. We have absolutely no negatives about La Sienna, and if we were to return to New York we would certainly choose to stay in this delightful and charming apartment again.

My sister and I stayed here back in May and it was wonderful! Julian was a fantastic host and kept us updated the entire time! He gave us good directions for the subway and had everything we needed in the apartment. Would stay there again anytime! The location is really great, you're uptown but definitely 3 blocks down from the subway station which would take you anywhere you wanted to go. Many little places to eat around the area, quiet street and apartment is really cozy and great. :)
