                    DECENT APT IN HARLEM

                    4 of 5
Nice apartment for the price. Only a few differences in the pics posted online. We did have a few issues: - After months of emails back and forth, and definitive arrival time confirmed numerous times. check in was a fiasco in trying to find someone to let us in. We ended up standing outside on the sidewalk, with our two kids, and our luggage for 45 minutes while emailing and calling back and forth trying to get someone to let us in. Bad way to start out a stay. After dealing with the owners husband, the owner, the husbands brother, and the owners friend, someone finally showed up to let us in. -Owner did not have the A/C installed as listed, so had to ask, and make arrangements to have the window units installed, which means we had to make arrangements to be out of the apartment. We padded our return time by 2 hours, and they were still at the apt, not inside, but on the front stoop, which made our return a bit uncomfortable. We went 2 of our 4 nights with no A/C. -We walked in on the owner exiting the apartment on day 2, with no advance notification she was going to be there. Kind of weird, since our stuff was in there, and she didn't tell us she would be coming in. She stated she was putting down ant bait. - Master bed is comfortable, bedding and towels were nice. - Large face painting in the master bedroom is scary, especially when catching a glimpse of it at night and when just waking up. I would relocate the scary face out of the bedroom. - Inflatable mattress deflated after 3 nights, so our son ended up sleeping on the couch the 4th night. - 1-ply toilet paper is the worst - This unit is on the 3rd floor, with very steep, narrow, and crooked/leaning steps. Don't bring any large suitcases or anything heavy. You'll have a heck of time getting it upstairs. - Laundry around the corner is decent, as is the pizza place right next door to the laundry, - Cabs to Times Square area will run you about $35 each ride. - No problem with the area, nice place inside, just a little far away from all the action.

                    GREAT AND AFFORDABLE STAY

                    4 of 5
My mom and i stayed at this property this month and found the apartment very charming and clean. All the necessary ammenities. We stayed for a week and found it convenient to access metro and taxi services. We had a problem with the keys for the outside door a couple of times, but Abe was always available to help. All in all we had a great and affordable stay in New York thanks to renting this property.

A VERY GOOD DEAL, WE'LL BE BACK.

                    4 of 5
We had a very pleasant stay here. Perfectly fine kitchen and bed. a very good deal. As others have said, it is only 20 minutes on the subway to Times Square. Very nearby there is a McDonald's and supermarkets. It is a landmark building and a quiet street. The only negative thing is the noise of toddler's feet from the floor above, where the owner lives. The wifi worked much better in the bedroom. The owner, Abe, is on site if you need him and was quite helpful. If you want an excellent meal reserve at Red Rooster on 125th and Lenox.
