Great Getaway

4 of 5
We were very happy with our stay at The Red House. The cabin was really a complete home, with anything we could have possibly needed. The back patio with fire pit was a perfect end to the days filled with exploring the area towns, the variety of Delaware River access points, and the local fly shops. Tina put together a wonderful guide of local services, and I strongly suggest her choices for places to eat! Tina was great to work with, the transaction was smooth and easy, and the best part....no cell service at the house. All told, it was just a great getaway.

Great Long Weekend

5 of 5
What a wonderful cottage on a great lake. My wife and I spent a long weekend here and have fallen in love with this lake and area. We were concerned about how many cottages would be on the lake and how close our neighbors would be to us. Well, the cottages are close together but it didn't seem that way. Our neighbors were very quiet and very friendly. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. It is VERY clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking. The screened in patio is wonderful and we enjoyed cooking on the open grill. The weather was beautiful while we were there, yet the lake was never busy. We enjoyed the kayaks but did not take advantage of the canoe and row boats which we would have if we had a longer stay. The fishing was fantastic. From the dock in front of the house we caught many bass, yellow perch, and sunfish. If you are looking for a place where the fishing is great... this is it. We did a lot of driving in the evenings looking for wildlife. There is a dirt road on the other side of the lake that goes thru the mountains and valleys. The first night we were lucky to spot a black bear in the woods along that road... and we saw many deer in the open areas. Back at the cottage, we saw a bald eagle fly over the lake, and had hummingbirds feeding on plants along the lake. Thanks to Eric for sharing this lovely cottage with us... he is very pleasant and easy to work with.
