Perfect for a Multi-Generation Gathering

5 of 5
We just spent a week at the Lodges at Oak Point for a family reunion. There were 26 of us - ages 3-87 - and everyone loved the location. We rented all 5 lodges. Although we did outings to Boldt Castle, Alexandria Bay, two wineries, and a golf course, everyone really seemed to enjoy just hanging around Oak Point. Many got up early to walk or jog. The river was perfect for swimming and we rented boats to fish, tube, and just cruise around exploring. The cottages were spacious and allowed us to congregate inside for games and conversation - and the porches and porch swings were a favorite place to hang out. We gathered at the picnic tables on the lawn in the evening for dinner and several nights made s 'mores in the fire pit by the river. We've been holding these reunions every other year since the early 70's and we really appreciated the well-stocked and organized lodges and the kindness of one of the owners, Lisa, who was always responsive and patiently answered a lot of questions. Thanks for a FANTASTIC week! I would highly recommend the Lodges at Oak Point!

Fantastic Vacation Retreat!!!

5 of 5
Since the Thousand Islands is a halfway point between Toronto and Montreal, it was the ideal place to meet up with family for the weekend. Margaret and John were kind enough to allow 16 of us to stay at their beautiful log home. First of all, we were very impressed by how clean and fresh the house was! Secondly, there was ample room and everyone was very comfortable. The large, open kitchen was ideal for all of us cooks, and the kids loved running around the house - very fun and safe for the kids! We have no complaints at all! Outside, we fished off the dock, had a BBQ and went on hikes. We really lucked out on the weather too!!! Margaret was extremely kind and accommodating. We felt blessed to enjoy such a lovely home in such a lovely setting! We highly recommend it, and are already planning to go back!

Excellent Getaway on a secluded island

5 of 5
The Crow's Nest was a fantastic island getaway that blew our family away! Bruce was a great host and his place was clean and cozy. The cottage was really spacious, much more so than the pictures convey. Our family of four had ample room to lounge about; our kids switched back and forth between the bedrooms (one had a very nice bunk bed in it). The screen porch was very spacious and cozy with an outdoor dinner table and a nice cozy rattan chair/love seat/table set. The swimming dock was a great feature, moored off the private beach. The water was crystal clear and a perfect temperature to cool off in. FABULOUS! Mike and Jen B. from PA
