Great group getaway!

5 of 5
We stayed here as a group over labor day weekend and had a fantastic time! The property is immaculate and well-appointed with high-quality linens and a solid collection of kitchenware. There were four real bedrooms with comfortable beds and lots of windows, as well as two large bathrooms with lovely locally-made soaps and great water pressure. The house is well laid-out and the bedrooms upstairs were very quiet, even with people socializing in the kitchen and living areas. Sarah and Sam were extremely responsive and knowledgable about the area!

Country-Chic Retreat with Views of Catskills

5 of 5
My husband, small dog and I stayed here for a long weekend in the fall and were so impressed with the cottage! The owners Jerry & Ray truly have an eye for detail and design and there was not one amenity overlooked. The house is in pristine condition, but is absolutely charming and comfortable and we felt we could cozy in and feel at home. The decor is rustic, yet chic and everything is beautiful- the bathroom hardware, plush bedding and cushions all over the house, high-end soaps and cleaning products and funky light fixtures and switches. We also particularly enjoyed the unique floor heating system (as did the dog!) which kept us toasty in the evenings and mornings and gave the house an all-around feeling of warmth without oppressive heat. We had so many areas of the house to enjoy: coffee on the screened in porch and breakfast in the carved out nook; cocktail hour on the patio and digestifs at the firepit; lunch from the grill on the deck and dinner at the communal table. The kitchen was also well stocked with all necessary cooking utensils/pots/pans/grill tools and servingware and we found we were capable of managing just about every meal at the house. Jerry suggested a trip to the Saturday farmer's market where we stocked up on beautifully cultivated veggies and fruit, fresh whole chicken and homemade sausage, and even maple syrup! There is also easy access to any of the mountains/trails in Catskill Park to enjoy a bit of nature, but we also marveled at the stunning views of the fall foliage from the porch of the house, as well as the daily visits of various wildlife around the property-- blue heron in the creek, flock of wild turkeys and of course, deer! Jerry made the booking extremely easy and gave excellent directions and guidance. All in all a wonderful retreat from the city (fresh air and stars abound!) and our family certainly hope we will be back!

Absolutely perfect!

5 of 5
My entire family traveled to the Catskills for a wedding and this house was perfect for all the different ages and needs that we had. Only 2 small steps to get up the porch (perfect for my elderly grandmother), hardly any traffic at all with a huge yard (I felt comfortable with letting the kids play outside for hours at a time), spacious, well-equipped, secluded but not far from town, was relatively clean on arrival (just the normal amounts of bugs along the edges of the carpets, etc. I don't think this can be helped unless they send the cleaners the day you arrive.) I highly recommend the house, but even if this particular house isn't perfect for you or if it's full, contact Jason & Phyllis at Pine Hollow Lodging anyway, because they will help you find the perfect place for your family or group. I was very pleased with their responses and how they even checked with us during and after our stay to be sure everything was okay. As I mentioned, we were in town for a wedding, and the cupcakes for the wedding were being made at this house- I told Phyllis ahead of time everything that we needed (kitchen-wise) and she made sure it was all there. I can't even say how much I appreciate great service like that, it's hard to come by!
