My Dream Manhattan Pied a Terre!

5 of 5
I had SUCH a great time here! If I could "keep an apartment in Manhattan", this would be the one I'd want The location is incredible- you can get anywhere in the city quickly by subway from here - both the East and West sides- or if you are more of a taxi-taker there are always abundant cabs on this block. Lots of cute shops and great restaurants super nearby. I loved the high ceilings, hardwood floors and ambiance of this charming classic New York brownstone. The floor plan gave the place a very spacious feeling with lots of natural light. The furnishings were lovely and had character without that "purchased for a rental unit" decor you find in many of these places set up specifically to rent out. The bathroom has the classic original tile, etc. The place was spotless with all the comforts well provided for by the thoughtful host. I would LOVE to stay here again.

Quiet spacious oasis in very good location

5 of 5
My family, two adults and two teenagers, recently lived in Manhattan and we rented this loft whilst returning on holiday/work in NYC for two weeks in July 2014. The loft is unusually quiet for NYC and uninterrupted sleep was bliss, Manhattan is virtually littered with 24/7 Fire Stations, roof top bars etc but none within earshot here. The interior A/C is new and quiet too. The dual aspect and additional sky lights apartment is furnished with vintage (expensive) designer furniture and is EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN. All mod cons worked extremely, the kitchen is very well equipped and bedding is 5 star too. The general state of the building is a bit run down and the stairs (no lift) would be a consideration if you are very unfit or injured, but once inside the apartment you are in a gorgeous oasis. As convenient locations go, this is certainly one of the better ones in Manhattan, naturally Broadway has a pretty mixed audience at street level, but you never feel unsafe whatever the time. You can easily walk to most downtown areas and its many great restaurants. WholeFoods and the famous Farmers Market is less than 5 minutes walk away as is the Union Square Subway (Express Stop and two lines). We had a fabulous time and I would seriously recommend it to anyone who wants a luxurious, spacious and HASSLE FREE apartment stay in NYC. The Owner is really great too!
